"Extra" Session Fall 2011

This must-do after-school program offers more than a dozen hour-long constructive activities supervised by Agnes Irwin faculty and popular local instructors in a familiar environment. Don't miss the newest happenings in the Lower School. Join us for "Extra" fun!
• Each course is $155
• Program runs Mondays - Thursdays 
• Classes run from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• Enrollment form and payment are due by Monday, September 19
 
Please note: car line ends at 4:45 p.m. Students who are not picked up will be sent to After Session and be charged $10 for that day. 
 
To register, download and save the form to your personal computer, fill in the form, save it with a unique name (e.g. your child's name), and email the completed form to Michelle Burns at mburns@agnesirwin.org.
 
Instructor: Ashley Kaufmann, AIS Kindergarten Assistant
An interactive and engaging class where girls can enjoy creating a delicious treat during every Books and Cooks session. Students will experience fun literature and create snacks. 
•  Grade  1    •  Offered Mondays
Instructor: Patricia Siembora, AIS Art teacher
All you will need are your fingers and your imagination! This workshop will focus on three-dimensional work with clay. Students will explore form, texture and color as they learn sculpture and pottery techniques using the same tools as many professional sculptors. Projects may include slump molds, pinch, coil and slab pots.
• Grades 2-4    • Offered Tuesdays
Instructor: Artists from Color Me Mine, a paint-your-own pottery studio in Wayne, PA
Sign up your kids for a painting adventure with Color Me Mine. Students will learn a different painting technique each week. This class combines education and creativity with having fun! Best of all, the students will create keepsakes that will be cherished for a lifetime.
• Grades K-2    • Offered Wednesdays
Instructor: Melanie Slezak, AIS Kindergarten teacher
Travel the seven continents as we stamp our Passports in a different country every week. The girls will learn fun facts, enjoy folktales and make a craft for each culture.
