Emphasis on Engineering
Each year, freshmen are treated to a special day of activities in a field they might not have otherwise considered. Engineering Day gives students the opportunity to explore math and science as it relates to the real world. Because girls still often do not get models in today’s world of women pursuing math, science, and engineering fields, Engineering Day shows our girls that this can be an obvious path for them.
Girls who express an interest in engineering as a possible college major are nominated for Engineering and Computer Science Days at various local colleges and universities (University of Pennsylvania, Widener University, Princeton University, Drexel University)
