Global Girls Cinema Screening - Pushing the Elephant

As part of its Global Citizenship initiative, the Center for the Advancement of Girls has partnered with the Girls Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania to offer the Global Girls Cinema Series for middle and upper school students. The program will screen documentaries that address girls’ issues around the world. The second film is Pushing the Elephant, an intimate family portrait unfolding against the wider drama of armed conflict in the Congo and the often hidden effects of war on women and children.

The film will be shown on Wednesday, February 15 from 5 until 7 p.m. in the West-Wike Theatre. A student-led chat will follow the screening. For more details contact Mariandl Hufford at mhufford@advancinggirls.org
