The Agnes Irwin School seeks an experienced, dynamic, and creative Middle School Spanish Teacher for the 2012 - 2013 academic year. Candidates should have proficiency in the language and first-hand experience living and/or studying in a Spanish-speaking country. They should enjoy working in an academic environment with colleagues who value collaboration as well as independence in teaching and learning.
Successful candidates must possess:
Bachelor’s degree in Spanish; Masters preferred
Demonstrated success in working with students in grades 5-8
Proficiency in Spanish; study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country
Proven record and knowledge of best practices in the teaching of Spanish
At least two years of classroom teaching experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to the values of single sex education and a positive regard for young people

The Agnes Irwin School's Library and Technology Department seeks an experienced Lower School Librarian for a one-year appointment, beginning in late August 2012 and concluding in early June 2013. This opportunity is available because our current Lower School Librarian is taking a one-year leave of absence. Candidates should possess a passion for teaching and libraries, and be comfortable teaching in an individual or team-teacher setting.

- MLS or equivalent degree
- PA Library Certification preferred, but not required
- Minimum two years of experience in an elementary library setting
