Applicants for 7th - 9th grade who will be applying for financial assistance are encouraged to apply for our scholarship. The ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) will be administered at Agnes Irwin on November 12th, and scores may be used to apply for the scholarship. Students do not need to take the test at Agnes Irwin. Scores from the SSAT or the ISEE taken in the fall and received at Agnes Irwin by November 15th may be used in consideration for a scholarship. Students entering 9th grade must indicate their interest in either the AIS Scholarship (academic) or the Carter Mannion Scholarship (athletic). Finalists will be chosen from the highest scores on the exam. They must have a B or better average, two letters of recommendation in addition to math and English teacher recommendations and an interview with the Head of School, Division Director and Admission Director. Finalists are chosen in December and the winners are notified by January 15. Winners are awarded a $500 annual stipend towards textbooks as well as the full amount (up to 100%) of financial aid for tuition as reported by the School and Student Service for Financial Aid in Princeton, NJ.
Please contact Barbara Silverman at 610.526.1667 or email bsilverman@agnesirwin.org for more information and to request a scholarship application, which is offered with a reduced application fee. |
