Parent Satisfaction Survey Deadline Extended
The deadline to complete the Parent Satisfaction Survey has been extended to January 3, 2011. Thank you to those parents who have had the time to complete it. For those who have not, you will be receiving one last reminder that will include a link to the survey. You may also use the existing link on the original email message announcing the survey if the email is still in your Inbox. We are interested in your thoughts and opinions, and greatly appreciate your taking the time to provide us with your feedback about the school.

A Message from All ... |

Monday night was certainly another example of the vitality of the AIS communit  y. Family and friends gathered in the Laura Thomas Buck '49 Pavilion to delight in the angelic voices of the Lower School girls, the enthusiasm of the Middle School girls singing, clapping, and sending snowflakes through the sky with fingers and arms, followed by the beauty of the mature voices of the Bel Cantos and the Upper School chorus, which seems to grow in size every year. The Instrumental groups highlighted the other talents of our AIS musicians, a group that also continues to grow. As a delightful surprise later in the evening, the AIS girls could be seen and heard singing on the 6 ABC evening news- an unexpected encore for all before heading to bed! On Wednesday morning the entire Lower School performed their rendition of The Selfish Giant, a story written by Oscar Wilde, along with some holiday songs. The performance, which was turned into a Readers’ Theatre by Murray Savar, was a celebration of this season of giving. More importantly, it was a celebration of our community and the joy of childhood. Adults from across divisions and offices served as the narrators, parents became spontaneous participants, and the girls sang and acted with such earnestness and delight that many were moved to tears. The morning served as a true reminder of the character of the Lower School and the broader Agnes Irwin community. As we leave campus for the next two weeks to celebrate the season with those we love, Agnes Irwin wants to wish everyone the warmest Season's Greetings and absolute best for the New Year.
