Letter from Donna

Dear Parents,

Despite the less than sunny weather outside, our May Fair today was spectacular! The energy that our girls brought to their dancing was a testament to their hard work and practicing over the past month, as well as the hard work of our PE department. Kudos to Mrs. Kane, Mrs. McInnes, Mr. Lee, and Mrs. Whalen, as well as May Fair co-chairs, Merritt Weber and Lea Cohn, for planning and bringing to fruition a day filled with the feelings of community and tradition for which The Agnes Irwin School is known.

Have a great weekend!

Donna

1st Grade Pen Pals
The first grade has been developing pen pal relationships with peers in North Carolina. Through letter and picture correspondence, they have learned about the things they share in common with first graders in another part of our country, regional differences – like weather, favorite ice cream flavors, their pets, etc. This week we finally “met” our pen pals! We Skyped with them! Students prepared questions to ask, and each got to talk directly with her pen pal. It was really fun to meet our new friends!
