Next weekend marks The Agnes Irwin School’s most anticipated athletic event of the year—! Since Fall 2005, the Varsity teams from Agnes Irwin and Episcopal Academy have competed in thrilling tennis, cross country, field hockey and soccer matchups with bragging rights at stake. Beyond a boosted sense of school pride, the winning school takes home the coveted banner to proudly display on its campus all year. is truly an all-school event as parents, faculty and students of every age come together to support the Owls. This year’s set of competitions will take place at EA, so it’s even more important to bring a loud cheering section and as many fans as possible to fill the stands with blue and gold at the games!
Spirit Week will begin on Monday as the anticipation for builds. The entire school will participate in special spirit activities, and the athletic teams will play in big games all week. Lower School girls should even be on the lookout for the AIS Owl mascot at the afternoon carline! On Thursday night, we will hold a celebration of AIS spirit, complete with a Varsity versus Faculty volleyball game, an all-school pasta dinner, pep rally and bonfire! We hope that you will join us for these fun-filled activities and help us cheer on our teams as they compete to bring home the banner! Click here to watch a spirit video from your team captains.
