We Showed Our Pride!
The Agnes Irwin Community showed great school pride on Friday afternoon as the teams took to the playing fields at Episcopal Academy. Despite falling to EA, we can be very proud of our student-athletes for the effort and determination they put forth on Friday. They certainly left it all out on the field/courts/course on Friday, battling EA until the very end. It was great to see so many students, faculty and Alumnae cheering on our teams.

A big thank you to all the students, faculty, staff, friends, Alumnae and family members who braved the rain on Thursday night and the cold on Friday to show their school spirit and support our student-athletes. An especially big thank you to all our volunteers, without whom the day wouldn't have been possible, and of course, to our student-athletes themselves who gave it their all!

Stylish Send-off
Lower School students came out in full force, wearing their AIS spirit gear and holding up colorful hand-made posters, to show their school spirit and support to our student-athletes as they headed out to take on EA.

Faculty/Varsity Showdown

In a spirited but arguably not-very-evenly balanced game on Thursday night, the championship Varsity volleyball team took on the Agnes Irwin faculty. Both sides gave it their all, but the Varsity team came out victorious to no one's surprise! To their credit, the faculty players managed to avoid sustaining any injuries and certainly threw themselves into the game.

In between games, the audience was treated to an exhibition game by the Varsity team.

Building the Spirit

Volleyball Team Spirit Dance
In the lead-up to the big day, we enjoyed many spirit-building events. The pasta dinner on Thursday night that followed the Faculty/Varsity volleyball game was a huge hit, attended by 500 people! Following the dinner, we headed out to the annual bonfire and spirit dances by the teams, which were as fabulous as ever, despite the rain. Friday morning saw the school spirit rise even higher with pep rallies and the Lower School carnival.
