Athletics Open House
The AIS Athletics Open House is this Saturday morning (November 19) here on campus. Current students and parents are invited to meet with coaches, talk to current Upper School athletes and hear from our alumna speaker, Bess Siegfried ’05, about how her experience as a student-athlete at AIS served her at Stanford and in her professional life at Facebook. Connie McEvoy, Director of College Counseling, and Chair of the Arts Department Bill Escher will also be available to discuss how Upper School students can balance their commitment to athletics with arts and academics. Join us at 10:30 a.m. in the Assembly Room to meet with coaches, students and faculty and to hear Bess’ presentation. Bess will be speaking at 11 a.m. We hope you will join us!

Phys Ed News
Lower School Phys Ed classes have been working on fine motor skills. The girls were using manipulatives throughout the week. They participated in both individual and small groups activities. The first grade girls used scarves for tossing and catching. In a small group activity, the first graders cooperated in a cup stacking project, the objective of which was to build a pyramid.
