The journey starts here

Why choose Agnes Irwin? Because we know girls — and we've been empowering them since 1869.

We have a living legacy of successful alumnae who are leaders in their respective industries. Every AIS student benefits from our rigorous research-based curriculum, our robust wellness and athletics programs, and esteemed faculty (experts in encouragement), who know each girl and won’t let her give up. Not to mention our 570-strong cheering section of fellow Owls who root and hoot for her as she conquers multivariable calculus, choreographs an original dance, or competes for the championship title. Because she learns from day one that she can’t succeed if she never tries. And because, by the time she graduates from Agnes Irwin, she's ready to take on the world.

Our oldest daughter started at AIS in second grade and graduated in 2011; our second daughter graduated in 2016. Now our third and last daughter graduated in 2018. Thirty-seven academic years later, we have found Agnes Irwin an excellent school that has helped our daughters become advocates for their own learning. We’ve had an awesome run. Why an all-girls school?

Because when girls feel known, understood, and challenged, they have the power to be their very best selves.
