ABOUT THE TREK

On May 19th, Middle School English teachers Jeff Harlan and Sandy Crow will travel to Nepal with 12,000 Dream Flags from this year's annual international celebration of poetry and children's dreams to help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the first school for the Sherpa people of Mount Everest. The Khumjung School was founded by famed mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary. Mr. Harlan and Mrs. Crow will be reporting back to students about their activities over the course of the two-week trip, as they make real-life connections with the Sherpa culture that inspired The Dream Flag Project. Check here regularly or bookmark the above blog to read updates during their trip.
