Financial Aid
Agnes Irwin is committed to making its educational opportunities available to bright, motivated and talented girls regardless of their family's ability to pay. The Financial Aid process is separate from the Admission process and applying for aid will not jeopardize a girl's opportunity for admission. Financial Aid decisions are made by the Financial Aid Committee on the basis of demonstrated need and availability of funds.

The Agnes Irwin School offered more than $2,500,000 in financial aid awards to 23% of its student body for the 2011-2012 school year. Financial Aid is available for PreKindergarten through grade 12, although 50% of the budget is awarded to Upper School students. You may request financial aid materials by contacting Barbara Silverman at 610-526-1667 or by email at admission@agnesirwin.org.

Financial Aid Application and Timeline
Please see our New Student Guide to Financial Aid or our Current Family Guide to Financial Aid  for commonly asked questions and detailed information. This year we are asking that all financial aid applications be submitted online at www.sss.nais.org. Should you need a paper application, download the PFS form from www.sss.nais.org.

By January 6:

1.   Complete the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS), which is available at www.sss.nais.org and submit directly to the School and Student Services (SSS) for Financial Aid. The cooperation of both parents is necessary before a financial aid decision is made.

2.   Sign and return the following items directly to SSS:
      - 2011 Final Pay Stubs
      - Families new to financial aid should also submit a copy of the previous year's taxes with all supporting schedules.

Late requests for financial aid will only be considered if funds are still available.

By April 20:

  • Mail a copy of each parent's latest IRS 1040 along with supporting schedules directly SSS.

Applications for aid will be reviewed when all required information is received. This procedure is repeated each year assistance is needed. Awards are made in late February and early March and all information is kept in strict confidence.
