We are committed to having an economically, ethnically, racially and religiously diverse student body. Admission decisions are made by the Admission Committee based on the applicant's strengths, on her potential to thrive at Agnes Irwin and on her capacity to contribute to the school community. Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Grades 5, 6 and 9 are the main entry points for the school; however, 25% of new students enter in other grades.
Our first deadline for applications was December 14, 2015. Families who have applied by this deadline, and who complete their application will learn of the decision of the Admission Committee in mid-January.
After the December 14 deadline, we will continue to welcome applications at all grade levels. Please be in touch with our office immediately to arrange for your visit to the campus and to discuss the submission of your application as well as how to arrange for proper assessments in a timely fashion. Applications that arrive after mid-January or that are not complete by then will be considered on a rolling basis and the outcome will depend on the candidates qualifications as well as the availability of space at each grade level.
Agnes Irwin is committed to making its educational opportunities available to bright, motivated and talented girls regardless of their family's ability to pay. Applicants seeking financial aid must indicate their intention of applying for financial aid on the admission application. The New Student Guide to Financial Aid packet is usually sent in late November. Please know that the deadline for consideration for the 2016-17 school year was December 31, 2015. Anyone applying after this date will be considered after applicants who met this first set of deadlines.
