Equity & Inclusion
Why these ideas matter to us
At Agnes Irwin, we recognize that educational excellence and diversity are linked and acknowledge that a wealth of perspectives brings a richness to the school community. We are committed to educating girls for responsible participation in a global community and to developing each girl’s highest potential in intellect, character, physical well-being, scholarship and service. We understand the importance of diversity and inclusion in preparing girls to lead in the 21st century.
Our Principles of Community and philosophy regarding equity and inclusion sum up why these ideas matter to us, and why we are committed to living out these tenets in our community.
Equity and Inclusion Philosophy
"The Agnes Irwin School respects and values diversity, including but not limited to differences in age, ability, ethnicity, family structure, gender identity, national origin, physical attributes, race, religion, sexual orientation and socioeconomic level. We actively promote and develop a school community that is culturally competent, socially responsible and globally engaged."
