National Merit Program

Each year, the National Merit Scholarship Program offers college tuition assistance to high-performing seniors. More than 1.6 million students are eligible for the program each year, with only 50,000 of these students earning Commended status, and ⅓ of those students advancing to the Semifinalist round.

Recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program this year are:

Semifinalist: Rachel Meng
Commended: Hanna Askarpour, Molly Knoell, Fiona Moser, Caroline Vauclain

National Hispanic Recognition Program

The College Board National Hispanic Recognition Program celebrates the academic achievements of students from the Hispanic and Latinx communities. Students are evaluated based on their PSAT/NMSQT test scores and their cumulative GPA up through their junior year, and are encouraged to include the distinction on college applications.

Recognized by the National Hispanic Recognition Program this year is Raquel Coren.

"We are proud of the accomplishments and achievements of these six seniors, who exemplify The Agnes Irwin School's hallmarks of excellent academics, leadership development, and engagement in their global community," remarks Head of School Sally Keidel. "We look forward to their future endeavors, and the impact that they will have here in Philadelphia and beyond."
