Our Strategic Plan
For nearly 150 years, The Agnes Irwin School has pioneered girls’ education. Today, Agnes Irwin is stronger than ever. Our strategic plan, Leading Girls’ Education, will guide us as we work to ensure that AIS continues to be a leader in girls’ education for the next 150 years – and beyond.
Agnes Irwin launched its Strategic Plan in December 2016. The four strategic initiatives outlined in the Plan – Ignite Curiosity and Creativity, Energize Our Educators, Enrich Our Community, Secure Our Future – represent mandates from our community, communicated clearly and consistently in survey responses and in focus group discussions with over 1,300 participants. For the five years of the Plan, our School will focus on these areas.
The Strategic Plan belongs to all of us, and we invite you to participate in the journey! Flip through Agnes Irwin's Strategic Plan here, or download your own copy.
Leading Girls' Education: Where We Are To Date
Now two years into our five-year Strategic Plan, we've made great strides in our key initiatives. We've reimagined our Upper School curriculum to focus on student-centered, high-impact learning; launched new global exchange programs; created an Innovation Team and two new spaces dedicated to inquiry; grown our equity and inclusion initiatives; and developed a three-year faculty fellowship — to name just a few. Learn more about how we're leading girls' education in the video below.
One of the distinctive things about our school is everything we do is through the lens of what is best for girls.
