Get ready for a unique, STEM-ulating experience! Join us for our student-lead Summer at AIS Robotics Camp. Designed to cultivate an interest in STEM for young campers and to build intellectual curiosity through fun and creative learning, this camp will be led by members of AIS’ Upper School Robotics team, Femme Tech Fatale.

Here, AIS’ Upper School students (under adult supervision) will work with campers to teach them the basic principles of engineering and design. Through this unique, hands-on experience, campers will gain exposure to and experience in robotics, expand their STEM knowledge and skills, and develop their strengths in leadership, collaboration, and teamwork.

Farm-to-Table Cooking Camp
Monday, July 13 – Friday, July 17, 2025 | 9:30am – 3:30pm
Rising 4th – 8^th Grades | $600 camp tuition

During this one-week session, campers will learn about the food industry and food preparation, with a focus on health-promoting and sustainable practices. Campers will have daily cooking and nutrition lessons integrated with exciting visits with food producers and other individuals working in the food industry. The camp is led by CulinArt’s Registered Nutritionist, alongside their highly skilled network of chefs.

Not only will campers learn to prepare a variety of dishes but they will develop an understanding of the importance of proper food handling. Our young chefs will walk away with the skills and the enthusiasm to help them start a home culinary garden, to prioritize locally-sourced, fresh and seasonal ingredients, and to better understand the food industry---including the relationship between farmers and consumers--- all with an emphasis on sustainable and ethical practices!

Campers will get to explore the joy and creativity of cooking and hopefully are inspired to be the next elite chef, nutritionist, or grower!

Reading Rockets | Rising 1st - 5th Graders

Please read the description of Reading Rockets carefully, noting the dates of each session), to whom each offering is open, and for whom Reading Rockets is designed.

This is a half-day camp. 1st-4th Grade Reading Rockets will be taught by one of our Agnes Irwin Lower School Learning Specialist. 5th Grade Reading Rockets will be taught by Ms. Sweeney.

Every day will also include time for snack, games, and outside play. The camp will be taught in a small group, and we will cap the numbers so that each child gets personalized attention. We want to prevent summer slide and foster confident, joyful readers!

Upper School Geometry
Rising 9^th and 10^th Graders | For Credit | Virtual | $500 tuition
Optional Virtual Office Hours: TBD
Weekly assessments: Every Friday* at 11AM to 12:30PM on Zoom
*Note: Except for 6/19 and 7/3 due to holidays - assessments will take place on Thursdays 6/18 and 7/2 for those weeks.

The topics of this course include parallel lines, congruent triangles, quadrilaterals, similar triangles, right triangles, circles, areas, and volume. This course will be primarily self-directed, with instructional materials posted each week, nightly homework, and weekly assessments. Live office hours will be available to students to support their learning, with exact dates and times determined at the start of the course. This course is equivalent to a full year of Geometry so it moves at an accelerated pace, covering 2 to 3 chapters per week. Students should expect to spend a minimum of 4 hours each day (Monday through Friday) on this class and take a live Zoom-proctored assessment at the end of each week. All students will need to take an in-person final exam on Friday July 24, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

Live office hours via Zoom will be available to students to support their learning.

This virtual course provides a full review of Algebra 1. Weekly assessments will be administered to monitor student learning. Course will include:

∙ Week 1: Linear, Literal, and Absolute Value Equations

∙ Week 2: Linear, Compound and Absolute Value Inequalities

∙ Week 3: Linear Functions

∙ Week 4: Systems of Linear Equations and Exponent Rules

∙ Week 5: Polynomial Expressions and Factoring

This math review and enrichment course will be taught by Joy Connelly. Topics covered will include: operations with fractions and decimals, problem-solving, plotting points on the coordinate plane, and fun math games.
