Modern Language
At Agnes Irwin, our Modern Language program celebrates the diversity of languages and cultures, including Chinese, French, Spanish, and American. Students develop communication skills across reading, writing, speaking, and listening while deepening cultural knowledge and making meaningful connections between other cultures and their own.
Our immersive approach integrates multilingualism and multiculturalism, fostering grammar, communication, and cultural awareness. Learning another language encourages students to appreciate the traditions, arts, history, and perspectives of its speakers—promoting empathy, tolerance, and global awareness. This prepares students to engage confidently in a multicultural, interconnected world and cultivates a lifelong love of language.
