Physical Education and Wellness

At Agnes Irwin, Physical Education and Wellness help students develop a positive relationship with their minds and bodies while building the skills to make healthy, lifelong choices. Through physical activity, students learn to be active stewards of their own health, collaborate effectively in teams, and self-regulate when faced with challenges.

Key Components of the Agnes Irwin Physical Education & Wellness Curriculum

  • Lifelong impact: PE and Wellness teach skills that extend beyond the classroom, supporting healthy mind-body relationships and positive life choices.
  • Collaboration and respect: Cooperation, teamwork, and mutual respect are essential for working successfully with others.
  • Individualized fitness: Developing physical fitness in ways that feel right for each student fosters a lifelong commitment to health and well-being.
