Our Philosophy

We are committed to having an economically, ethnically, racially, and religiously diverse student body. Admission decisions are made by the Admission Committee based on the applicant's strengths, on her potential to thrive at Agnes Irwin, and on her capacity to contribute to the school community.


The deadline to apply for admission for the 2019-20 school year is Wednesday, December 5, 2018 and the deadline to apply for tuition assistance is Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

Please know that this is our first admission application deadline, and we welcome applications after this date on a rolling basis. If you are interested in applying for admission after December 5, please call our office at 610-526-1667 so we can help you get the process started!

Decisions and Notification

Our Admission Committee begins reading applications and meeting regarding applicant decisions on a rolling basis. Enrollment decisions for families who fully complete their admission application by December 5 will be conveyed in late December 2018. Families will then have until March 1, 2019 to inform us of their decision regarding enrollment.

Did you know?

PreKindergarten, Kindergarten and Grades 5, 6, and 9 are the most common entry times for the school; however, 25% of new students enter in other grades.

Late December 2018:

  • Enrollment decisions announced (for families who apply by the December 5 deadline)

March 1, 2019:

  • Deadline for families to inform AIS of their intent to enroll
