Our Philosophy

We are committed to having an economically, ethnically, racially, and religiously diverse student body. Admission decisions are made by the Admission Committee based on the applicant's strengths, on her potential to thrive at Agnes Irwin, and on her capacity to contribute to the school community.


We are so pleased that you are considering making an application to Agnes Irwin. We welcome applications at any time during the year on a rolling basis. If you are interested in applying for admission, please call our office at 610-526-1667 so we can help you get the process started!

Decisions and Notification

Our Admission Committee will begin reading completed applications in early December, and decisions will be announced in late December for all applicants who have completed their applications by that point. After the winter holiday, applications will be reviewed weekly and decisions will be released on a rolling basis. All accepted families will then have until March 1, 2020 to inform us of their decision regarding enrollment.

Tuition Assistance Deadline

Families who are interested in applying for Tuition Assistance are encouraged to complete their applications by December 11, 2019. Families who apply after early December should complete their tuition assistance application as soon as possible; funding will begin to be released to newly accepted families who have completed all aspects of the application process by the first deadline in mid-January.

PreKindergarten, Kindergarten and Grades 5, 6, and 9 are the most common entry times for the school; however, 25% of new students enter in other grades.
