Center for the Advancement of Girls
Professional Development
At Agnes Irwin, we work to instill a passion and active pursuit of lifelong learning. The Center for the Advancement of Girls is committed to supporting our teachers and staff in their understanding of the unique and evolving needs of girls.
All of our teachers are kept abreast of current research, trends and best practices in teaching girls. The Center offers opportunities for faculty and staff alike to become well-versed in what girls need to thrive in every aspect of life.
Girl-Responsive Teaching
Professional Development Sessions
This seminar-style class for seniors was developed in partnership with Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. The course explores the health inequities faced by girls around the world and their impact on gender equality, financial stability, and the economy.
Service Learning and Special Studies Program
The Center spearheads our Service Learning and Special Studies Programs. By empowering our girls to be informed, empathetic, and engaged members of society locally and around the globe, our students make a difference through experiential learning and engagement.
