Annie’s passion for science writing began with her first job at Yale Alumni Magazine, where she discovered a passion for interviewing researchers and academics. Her career has spanned books, magazines, and NPR’s Hidden Brain podcast. “I’m driven by curiosity,” she says. “If I’m interested in a topic, I dive in completely.” A firm believer in journalism’s power, she values truth and clarity in a noisy digital age—and still gets the newspaper, hoping her kids will be inspired to read it.
