Madeline Kaller '17

At Agnes Irwin, I was encouraged to speak my mind and speak up for others. Learning that during my fundamental years is now paying off where I'm in a leadership role and need to advocate for my crew.

Officer, United States Coast Guard

Madeline Kaller ’17 discovered her path to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy during her senior year at Agnes Irwin and was drawn to its humanitarian mission. A lifelong competitive sailor, she combined her passion for the water with service, eventually becoming Operations Officer on a Fast Response Cutter in Bahrain, supporting global security efforts. Her work includes counter-terrorism and anti-smuggling operations. She then took on the role of Commanding Officer of USCGC TERN in San Francisco. Madeline credits AIS with giving her the confidence to lead and advocate for others, skills she uses daily in command and service around the world.
