Tuition Assistance

For the 2023-2024 school year, we offered approximately $5.2 million in tuition assistance awards to 35% of our student body. Tuition Assistance is available for PreKindergarten through Grade 12. Approximately 50% of the budget is typically awarded to Upper School students.

Tuition Assistance Application and Timeline for the 2024-2025 School Year

The Agnes Irwin School is proud to use the Clarity application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.

If your family would like to be considered for tuition assistance as part of your application to Agnes Irwin, please notify your Admission Director immediately and our team will work with you on our process. The deadline for the 2024-2025 school year was December 8, 2023. We will continue to accept Tuition Assistance applications for the year until we have exhausted funding.

Getting Started

To get started, please go to the Clarity application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools.

Tuition Assistance Application Process

Step 1: Indicate Intention

Indicate your intention to apply for tuition assistance on the admission application or directly to an Admission Director. When prompted on the admission application, indicate that you intend to apply for tuition assistance. It would be helpful to refer to the First-Time Family Guide to Tuition Assistance, which will guide you through the necessary financial information that is required as well as Frequently Asked Questions.

Step 2: Complete All Parts Of The Application

New Families

Please see below for the list of required information in order to complete your application for consideration of tuition assistance for Grades PK-12. Please refer to the First-Time Family Guide to Tuition Assistance for the full explanation and FAQs.

The first deadline for Tuition Assistance has passed. Please submit the materials below as soon as you submit your admission application.
Clarity application online
Sign and submit a Form 4506c to give Clarity permission to pull your prior year (2022) tax returns and W-2s (for both parents, if applicable)
Most recent pay stubs (for both parents, if applicable)
Non-Custodial Parent Waiver (single parent households only)

Due on or before January 31, 2024:
2023 W-2s or Schedule K-1s (for both parents, if applicable)

Returning Families
Current families at Agnes Irwin can begin to apply for consideration of tuition assistance for the 2024-2025 school year on October 1, 2023. Please refer to the Returning Family Guide for the full explanation and FAQs.

Due on or before December 8, 2023:

Step 3: AIS Review & Notification

Agnes Irwin’s Tuition Assistance Committee reviews each request for tuition assistance and determines the tuition assistance grant based on the family’s need and the school’s budget. Tuition Assistance decisions are announced to new families as early as mid-January 2024 should all aforementioned deadlines have been met. After this date, tuition assistance decisions will be announced once your application for consideration of tuition assistance and application for consideration of admission are completed. These applications are then reviewed on a rolling basis starting in the beginning of February. Returning families who have re-enrolled, are in good standing with the business office, and have met all aforementioned tuition assistance deadlines will hear from Agnes Irwin regarding their grants for the 2024-2025 school year in February and March 2024.
