Middle School Student Life

MS Student HandbookNurturing growth and individuality

Middle school should be a place where girls feel safe, supported and valued. Our Middle School deans and Community Cares teachers work together to guide girls through the academic and social challenges of Middle School. The life of the AIS middle schooler revolves around our values statement, particularly respect, honesty, dedication and understanding. We can offer no greater gift than that of our commitment to the growth and individuality of each and every Agnes Irwin Middle School student.

We strongly believe in instilling a sense of independence and imagination in the girls while maintaining an appropriate perspective on the life of a middle school child.  It is essential that Middle School students be afforded the opportunity to play as a way to balance the pressures they face as they mature both intellectually and personally. Our Big Sister/Little Sister program as well as spirit and theme days provide the girls with opportunities to express themselves creatively while having fun. We also strive to provide the girls with as many leadership opportunities as possible to enhance their sense of community and school spirit.
